The History of Talisen

1991

Company founded with personal funds in St. Louis, Missouri. Initially focused on IT Security related to the use of the internet in manufacturing.

1992

Established one of the first internet-based Secure Gateway Solution in Aerospace & Defense for Boeing / McDonnell Douglas. Perpetually utilized by suppliers and customers and as an electronic purchasing solution.

1997-2014

First international Talisen Gateway licensing deal in Finland. Leveraged Boeing Offset – Austrailia, England, and Holland.

2007-2013

Leveraged A&D solutions and applied towards Energy & Facilities Management. Early projects started with the State of Missouri, then added the City of Kansas City, MO and New York Power Authority.

2015

Expanded Enterprise Energy & Facilities Management into the International Markets in the Middle East. Applied the ESP Master Integrator expertise to deploy end-to-end smart city and IoT projects.

2016

Advanced Energy & Facilities Management footprint into the Healthcare industry. Talisen’s ESP transforms healthcare facilities by providing useful building facility data for compliance, comfort and energy costs.

The Leadership Team

GEORGE A. BRILL

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. Brill is the founder and CEO of Talisen Technologies, Inc., originally AeroTech Services Group, a recognized leader in secure, enterprise IT integration and collaboration. A graduate of St. Louis University’s Aeronautical Engineering program, Mr. Brill began his career as a structural engineer with the US Navy at McDonnell Douglas. In 1991, he founded AeroTech Services Group with personal funds. In 2001, the company evolved into additional technology markets beyond aerospace and changed its name to Talisen Technologies, Inc. Talisen celebrated its 25th year in business in 2016. The company has been the subject of two Harvard case studies and Harvard Review article. Mr. Brill has received multiple entrepreneurial awards from the US Small Business Administration, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as well as from St. Louis County. Mr. Brill is a member of the Board of Directors for St. Louis University, a member of the St. Louis Hispanic Chamber and Board Member of the St. Louis County Economic Council’s Business Incubator Program.

BRUCE DRAPER

VICE PRESIDENT, TECHNOLOGY

Mr. Draper has 25 years of software engineering experience in a wide breadth of disciplines, including system/network architecture and security, authentication and authorization systems, HTTP web development, X Window development, and CAD design verification. Mr. Draper graduated from Michigan State University, with a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science and a minor in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry in 1981. Immediately following, Mr. Draper completed graduate coursework in Computer Science, including Ph.D. qualifying examinations, from the University of Massachusetts.

TIM GRIB

VICE PRESIDENT, SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Grib is an accomplished strategist with 20+ years of added value delivering breakthrough results in product development and technology transfer with skills in software development, energy management, supply chain management, hosting and SaaS. With extensive credentials in managing large-scale technology implementations, Mr. Grib leverages wide-ranging technological talent and leadership to effectively manage organizational change, mitigate risk, infuse new ideas, and provide project deliverables on time and within budget. Mr. Grib is a graduate of Washington University with an M.S. in Management of Technology, as well as an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology.

JOHN STEVENS

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, AEROSPACE & DEFENSE

Mr. Stevens has been in the Information technology and risk management field and has over 25 years of executive and professional experience working in aerospace, e-commerce, financial and Department of Defense industries. In additional to his technology experience, Mr. Stevens has worked extensively in technology risk management with a focus on enterprise risk analysis, cyber security and business continuity. Mr. Stevens is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University and holds certifications in Business Continuity (deleted recovery), Homeland Security Response and Software Asset Management.

KEITH KRAUS

GENERAL COUNSEL

Mr. Kraus is a licensed attorney and professional engineer with 30+ years of executive and professional experience working with regulated industries in the energy and technology sectors. In additional to his legal experience, Mr. Kraus has more than 10 years’ experience in the energy/utility sector working for a large Midwestern utility and consulting for large energy users. Mr. Kraus graduated from the Washington University School of Law with a Juris Doctoris degree. Prior to law school, Mr. Kraus graduated from the Missouri University of Science & Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
